Have you seen the recent scavenger hunt run by the Smithsonian? It’s not unusual that a museum would run a scavenger hunt, in particular to provide a learning opportunity. This time, the Smithsonian did one with a little Technoflav added.
You see each contestant was given a clue to start them off ans when they cracked that one, a new clue was texted to them. Ahh I can here the Robert Langdon wannabe’s now.
These hunts were seeing about 100 people participate. They were divided into groups of about 6 people. After registering and receiving the first clue you were sent into the halls to figure out your way through.
To add a little twist to the scavenger hunt, they place paper clues and maps in hidden locations and you had to find these to continue. Now once you had figured out the clue, you had to text in the answer to the central number and if it was right, a reply would come back with the next clue. Pretty cool hey.
The race ends once you have found all the clues and are back where you started. This is just one example of how an organization has taken the fun of a scavenger hunt and gave it a twist.
